Smart Sound with Stunning Design. Does it live up to the category of "Smart Tech"?

Here is a smart music system that I have been keeping my eye on since its launch on kickstarter. I have a love for music and especially well designed tech. And over the past year or so I have watched as the "Smart Home" market has also exploded. How does the Orion 360 break through into this very interesting new consumer market?

After witnessing Google release Google Home and that famous fruit company Apple release "Home Pod", I have began to think are all of their followers just naming their products smart in order to ride the gravy train of trending smart tech. Some do and some do not succeed at truly being smart tech. However after discovering more about the Orion 360 Smart Music System, I have found that it does truly live up to the title.

The design is sleek and minimal. But why does that classify it as smart tech? It is within the design of the controls and software within that makes this smart tech. Gesture control technology (GTEK) provides simple but elegant user interface for doing the standard things like play, pause, skip, control volume or answer phone calls. Much like the touch screen of your smartphone, swipe and finger placement gestures are used to control the system by the touch of your hand. Six advanced sensors are placed to track actions for this functionality. Some feel satisfaction or click style manual push buttons but I feel the gesture feature is what makes it appear more intelligent.

Orion 360 as well will not betray your trust by looking smart but it does hold true to that title. With the inclusion of Aware technology, the system senses 100's of wave points such as room temperature, noise, interior echo, and produces music for both indoor and outdoor environments. I feel that it can hold up to being a centerpiece on your kitchen table to a table by the pool side. Still while providing rich quality sound in almost any ambient environment. Not only that but you can also stream from your favorite internet services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud, Google Play, etc. Connecitify options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (802.11 b/g/n), NFC/Aux connectivity and remote personal sensor.

Audio quality does not suffer as well because this includes 6 powerful speakers placed 360 degrees around the speaker to provide the ultimate surround sound experience. And then to pack a powerful punch it includes dual drivers that will provide crisp clear high quality sound. And don't forget the central vortex bass providing an excellent low end on the spectrum. A 12 hour battery life is also helpful. and the use of contact-less charging.

After having said all of that let's discuss the overall minimalist design and build quality. A durable high grade corrosion resistant aluminium that can hold up to abuse from drops. It does fit into compact spaces such as your backpack to add to the portability aspects. The overall look as well has some very great design elements as well.

Well If you haven't understood my thoughts thus far let me wrap this up for you. To be smart tech you need more than just minimalist design elements but also pair that with technology that actually includes a bit of intelligence. It also has to function with a bit of automate adaptation to the environment it is within. Also providing integration with a smartphone so you can stream your favorite music to the speaker without the sometimes intermittent Bluetooth connections as well as integration with all of your favorite streaming services.

And lastly think of the Orion 360 as that piece of tech that even someone that is not a tech enthusiast or music lover would adore. So please go checkout more about the Orion 360 on www.feelorion.com.
